Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa is aiming to ramp up its vehicle export production to around 60 000 units a year by 2010 thanks in part to the recent signing of a contract to supply Ford Ranger bakkies to African markets. About 10 000 export Rangers will be delivered during 2008, rising to 24 000 through 2009 and to about 40 000 during 2010.
