Automobile manufacturers reported an impressive growth in sales during April, showing signs of recovery after the excise duty cut announced in the budget. Leading the growth in the car segment, country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India witnessed a healthy 22 per cent increase in sales, while Hero Honda, the market leader in the two-wheeler category, registered an over nine per cent jump in its sales for the month.
