The new 6.2-litre V8 in the limited-edition Chev Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful production engine yet built by General Motors. When the ZR1 was introduced at the Detroit auto show in January 2008 GM said it would be good for 100 old-fashioned horsepower/litre they got 103 during SAE testing.
