Trade official pushes a deal with South Korea

The top U.S. trade official vowed to push hard for Congress to approve a trade agreement with South Korea and said objections by Detroit automakers were not enough to reopen the deal. Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC, along with Michigan lawmakers, oppose the deal, saying it would open the U.S. market to Korean automakers while leaving high hurdles for U.S. automakers to sell vehicles in South Korea.
