Mazda global vehicle sales up 4.7%

Mazda Motor Corp said that its global vehicle sales for fiscal 2007 increased 4.7% from the previous year to 1,363,022 units. Brisk sales of Mazda3, known as the Axela in Japan, and Mazda2, or the Demio, which won the 2008 World Car of the Year prize, chiefly helped Mazda achieve the best global sales since fiscal 2000, the automaker said.
