Honda Motor Co will use conventional nickel-metal hydride batteries for its new gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle it plans to launch next year. A growing number of automakers, including Toyota Motor Corp and General Motors Corp., are planning to use lithium-ion batteries for their new hybrids.
