BMW AG will spend $750 million to build 90,000 more vehicles a year in the United States, in the face of changing euro-dollar fortunes. The company said this morning that it will hire 500 people for its Spartanburg, S.C., plant and increase production capacity to 240,000 vehicles a year from about 150,000 currently.
