It’s a sign of the times–and a sign of the weakness of the U.S. dollar that’s attracting a new $750 million investment by BMW to its South Carolina assembly plant. BMW confirms that it’s spending the cash to boost production at the Spartanburg, S.C., facility and consolidating production of its sport-utility vehicles there.
