Chrysler, Getrag resume construction on Indiana transmission plant

Construction has resumed on a $530 million Indiana transmission factory after a dispute between Chrysler LLC and its partner, German transmission supplier Getrag AG, halted the project Dec. 21. The project, which will employ about 1,400, is still on schedule to open in 2009 and will make dual-clutch automatic transmissions for Chrysler vehicles.
