Mazda's new single-model CX-7 has created a kind of hybrid: a five-seater, high-set "crossover" that handles like a sports car. The underpinnings of the Mazda6 MPS have been equipped with a spacious and very luxurious five-seat monobox body and the high-performance, turbocharged, 2.3-litre, quad-valve, four-cylinder engine.
