Top US carmaker Chrysler has initiated talks with a number of vehicle makers in India including Mahindra & Mahindra for possible partnerships to develop products for emerging markets. It is also understood to be stepping up its engineering presence in India as well as other developing markets like China, Mexico and Eastern Europe.
