Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty turned up the heat in his plea for federal aid for the province's hard-hit manufacturing sector by threatening to impose trade barriers on South Korean cars unless that country opens its market to imports. Ontario will consider slapping a surcharge on Hyundai and Kia vehicles sold in the province if the Harper government fails to negotiate a new free-trade agreement giving Canada the same access South Korea enjoys.
