Germany VW sees urgent need for assembly plant

It has become urgent for the Volkswagen Group of Germany to have an assembly plant to meet the demand for its vehicles in Malaysia and the region, and keep up with competition from its global peers. It was reported that the Government was in talks with France’s PSA Peugeot Citroen and Volkswagen on a possible strategic alliance with Proton Holdings Bhd.
